Wow what a year 2022 was, I recall telling someone that it felt like 2 years rolled into one. A year that saw the world coming out of a global pandemic, two pivotal nations going into a war, economic upheavals across the globe, and a period where many businesses experienced what was termed the Great Resignation with many employees voluntarily resigning for a number of reasons, and so much more.
Having survived all that, welcome and congratulations for making it to 2023!! Now that it’s here what are you planning on doing about it? Have you started implementing the goals you set in December? If you haven’t, don’t leave it too late to start, it doesn’t matter if things aren’t perfectly planned out yet because the perfect place/time/circumstance doesn’t exist.
There’s a saying that the best way to predict the future is to create it. This tells me that we have the ability to determine what the rest of this month and year will look like based on what we are doing right now. Life can certainly get in the way and throw some curve balls to distract us, or we could simply lose steam. This is why having people around you who will hold you accountable for what you have said you will achieve is critical.
Another thing to keep in mind is that aging is automatic (we will all get a day older for as long as we are alive), growth however is intentional. So commitment to growing into a better version of ourselves in every way is another way to make sure the next 365 days aren’t just a “copy and paste” of the previous ones.
